MOUNTAINAIRE EARTHQUAKE
An earthquake of magnitude 3.1 struck about 5 miles south of Mountainaire and 5 miles north of Munds Park this morning at 7:20 am local time. This region is within northern Arizona's seismic belt and is subject to several small earthquakes per year. The last earthquake in this area with a magnitude of 3.0 or greater occurred on February 6, 1995 along the Lake Mary fault.
